Krasimira Dimitrova Pozharlieva, a lawyer born in Bulgaria in 1978, and a resident of Sondrio, will be kept under house arrest, the newspaper reports. The Bulgarian lawyer dealt with presenting papers to the police to obtain for them permits to stay in Italy. .. The Bulgaria’s Parliament has adopted legislation amendments removing revoking limitations imposed on lawyers from other EU states wishing to work in Bulgaria. The amendments to the Bar Act approved Wednesday have been initiated by the Cabinet after in the fall of 2009, the European Commission started an infringement procedure against Bulgaria for denying equal status to EU lawyers. The newly adopted law stipulates that, when practicing in Bulgaria, a lawyer with a practice and degree from another EU member state will have the rights and responsibilities of a Bulgarian lawyer. The amended Bar Act states contains a number of changes in order to guarantee this new status for the foreign lawyers. First, it grants the right to become a lawyer in Bulgaria to every EU citizen who received a law degree in Bulgaria. Second, it allows all lawyers from EU member states who are included in the Unified Register of Foreign Lawyers to practice law in Bulgaria together with other local lawyers according to the specific provisions of the Act. Furthermore, two or more foreign lawyers are granted the right to practice law in Bulgaria in their capacity of a branch of their group based in another EU member states. ...

Nikolay Kokinov, the Chairman of the Prosecutors’ office of the city of Sofia, probably the most important prosecutors’ office in Bulgaria, reported at the Panorama news of the Channel 1 of the popular state owned TV station in 2010 that there were total number of 1,299 public prosecutors in Bulgaria. The news paper Trud reported on 2 of June 2010 that there were 4,688 magistrates and 8,845 other officials in the judicial system of Bulgaria. Ivan Kolev, a member and the chairman of the budget commission of the Supreme judicial council of Bulgaria reported these figures on 4 of December 2009 also. He said also then that there were 508 free job places for judges and public prosecutors and 452 other officials in Bulgaria on 31 of October 2009. One says that the magistrates in Bulgaria include judges and public prosecutors so the judges have to be 3,389. The news paper Sega reported on 4 of December 2009 that the minimum monthly salary in 2009 of a magistrate in the regional court in Bulgaria was 1,430 BGN, in the district court was 1,830 BGN and in the supreme courts was 2,650 BGN. The magistrates in Bulgaria had additionally 2 per cent per each year period of time work and the limit was up to 40 per cent of the salary. There were 4,704 lawyers registered as members of the Sofia bar association of lawyers and the total number of lawyers in Bulgaria was 11,357 in 2009 as it was announced in the State gazette of Bulgaria issue Nr. 7 on 26 of January 2010. The father mayor and his wealthy wife owner of a pub and a shop have chosen to see her beautiful only daughter in a coffin instead to have grand daughters' gypsies. Albena Dimtchova from Kniazheva Machala, 16 years old, and her boy-friend Zvetan Mirtchev from Dimkovo, 15 years old, hugged lied down on the railway of the train at Brusarci railway station near Vidin, Bulgaria at 5 am on 15 of November 2009. Albena died immediately and Zvetan lied in the local hospital of Lom unconscious, with broken arm and head punches. The news paper www.24chasa.bg reported that Albena was adopted child in Bulgaria. The Law on lawyers in Bulgaria says that the lawyers in Bulgaria can not offer and work for lower fees then the determined by the legal rules on the minimum amount of lawyers’ fees in Bulgaria. So for example some of the new higher minimum fees of lawyers in Bulgaria are as follows. The minimum fee for lawyer’s advice by word of mouth is 20 BGN or 11 euros, for agreed contracted hourly base work lawyers’ advice in Bulgaria is 60 BGN or 30 euros per hour, to draw a written contract of the interest amount from 1,000 BGN or 512 euros till 10,000 BGN or 5,113 euros the minimum lawyers’ fee is 150 BGN plus 1 percent of the amount of interest over 1,000 BGN or 512 euros, to represent and defend a client in civil and administrative cases with a determined interest for one instance in the cases of the interest amount from 5,000 BGN or 2,554 euros till 10,000 BGN or 5,113 euros the minimum lawyers’ fee is 450 BGN or 230 euros plus 4 percent of the amount of interest over 5,000 BGN or 2,554 euros.
